Today’s Scripture
“He drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.” — (2 Samuel 22:17–18, NIV)
Out of Deep Waters
We all face things that are too powerful for us to stop or overcome, but they’re not too powerful for our God.
You may not be able to escape the accident, beat the cancer, or overcome the bad break on your own, but you’re not on your own; the Most High God is with you.
The enemy is not in control of your life.
He can’t stop your purpose.
God has the final say.
He’s going to draw you out of deep waters.
He’s going to rescue you from powerful enemies.
The enemy may tell you, “You’re stuck in the addiction. Just accept it. Those people who talk against you in the office are too powerful. They’ll keep you back. Don’t get your hopes up.”
God is saying, “It’s no match for me. I’m about to turn things in your favor.I’m about draw you out of the waters and rescue you.”
Instead of dwelling on how big your enemies are, start dwelling on how big your God is.
God overrules.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for Your promise to draw me out of the deep waters and rescue me from my enemies. Even when life seems to be out of control, I choose to trust in You and believe that You have the final say. I declare that You are with me, and You overrule. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
