There will always be storms in life.
What you do with the storms determines the outcome.
People will either react or respond to these storms.
Those that respond with faith, love, determination, forgiveness and everything else that falls into God’s camp don’t simply survive.
They thrive!
James Allen in his chapter Serenity from his book “As a Man Thinketh” stated this very brilliantly. “Yes, humanity surges with uncontrolled passion, is tumultuous with ungoverned grief, is blown about by anxiety and doubt only the wise man, only he whose thoughts are controlled and purified, makes the winds and the storms of the soul obey him.”
The chapter on Serenity is a great morning mantra in order to continually command the winds, storms or mountains in my life to obey.
If you don’t tell people what your terms of engagement are, there will be no markers on the field. Without markers or boundaries no one knows the direction or purpose.
