Jason Cianflone | Life is short | Billy Graham
“I know that soon my life will be over. I thank God for it, and for all He has given me in this life…But I look forward to Heaven.” — Billy Graham
This Life we are given is short beyond all earthly understanding.
Take a look at our lives from the timeline of eternity. The actual time we spend on this earth is not even a drop in the ocean.
We are given the gift of life and it is a miracle from God. How we spend this small amount of time is up to us.
We can spend our lives living with hatred, unforgiveness, regret, anger, jealousy, envy, and all of those emotions that bring us closer to the most negative aspects of life.
We have all been down the road of negative living many times before. That poison does not end in harmony with our Saviour. All those negative emotions no matter how we justify them to ourselves or others are the same as serving ourselves poison, drinking it, and then wanting the other person to die.
We are only killing ourselves.
That broken record does not allow us to hear the most beautiful song the Lord wants us to play. The song of Love, Repentance, Forgiveness, Kindness, Mercy, Grace, and all of those positive emotions that bring us closer to the best version of ourselves. Bringing us closer to God.
The most important of these is love.
When our time comes and it comes for us all.
Did we spend it with love?
Did we use our time that we have been given in the light?
Choose Love!
For it is the light we must embrace as eternity waits for us all!
James 4 : 14
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
Romans 3 : 23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Matthew 7 : 1–5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”
John 13 : 34–35
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
