“The amygdala, an almond-sized and shaped brain structure is located within the limbic system of the human body.
It is linked to behaviors associated with survival and a full-blown defense from foreign entities. (Science Daily)
Thousands of years ago its function was to protect us from danger and invading species.
The amygdala actually triggered the flight or fight response. It is the trigger to the safety valve in your psychological house. It will always alert you when there is danger ahead, tell you to play it safe and stay right where you are.
If it had a voice it would say, “Listen to me or I will blast you with serious chemicals that will force you to stop.”
Knowledge is power but it is only real power when you put it into action with serious understanding and faith in our God.
John Ruskin was right on the money when he said, “Education does not mean teaching people what they do not know. It means teaching them to behave as they do not behave.”
Today the amygdala serves the same purpose however the fight or flight response has changed to do or don’t because of our environment.
Understand this scientific fact and you have embarked on an unstoppable journey towards incredible success.
The key is to understand that the enemy utilizes the amygdala to work against us.
Gathering with likeminded people of faith allows us to flourish in a community of believers.
The end result is flourishing beyond expectation.”
